Testimonials

Our two girls just love their sessions with Donna. They were both so shy when they started at the Donna Griffin Academy and didn’t want to dance in front of anyone. But they have gained so much confidence and have fallen in love with Irish Dancing. This is all due to Donna’s teaching. She is fun, kind and very knowledgable. The lessons are such good exercise and have instilled in them the importance of practice and discipline, but at the same time they have so much fun learning their steps. They have made some lovely friends too. I would recommend anyone to try a lesson with Donna. You won’t look back!

Donna is a fantastic teacher who provides high quality instruction whilst allowing each student to develop at his/her own pace. She instils a sense of focus and teamwork as well as her love of Irish dance. There is a real camaraderie among the dancers of all ages and Donna ensures there is lots of encouragement and mentoring from the older students with the younger ones which creates a wonderful family atmosphere for them. The support she gives to the students and parents is greatly appreciated and although there is a lot of hard work and sweat to get them ready for feisanna, there is always time for fun too. Under Donna’s guidance my son has excelled, enabling him to qualify and attend his first World Championships with her at the age of 10! If you are looking for an Irish dance school for your child, I highly recommend this academy.

My daughter loves dancing for DGA. Donna is very professional, but has fun with the children and has a lovely way with the younger children too. My child has made so many friends in class and loves to represent the school at competitions. It keeps her so fit too and she loves the performances in and around ST Patrick’s Day. Would definitely recommend DGA Academy for anyone looking to learn Irish Dancing.

Being part of DGA is being part of a supportive family. The dancers support each other and encourage each other to do their best. Donna gets the best out of her students but also takes time to know and understand the dancers, celebrate them and support them. We would definitely recommend DGA.

We love DGA as we have many good friends along our daughters dance journey.

Donna is absolutely amazing. My daughters confidence has come on so much since doing Irish Dancing with DGA. We have tried previous dance groups with a variety of subjects, however this seems to be the perfect one for her. She is making new friends, gaining confidence, pride and muscle development. Overall, couldn’t recommend DGA anymore!
